Individual Therapy

this might be a good fit for you if:

  • you are seeking a place to authentically explore your identity

  • you would like to improve the quality of your relationships with yourself and others

  • you are ready to explore past experiences that may be contributing to present concerns

  • you hold identities or engage in work or play that is stigmatized, and you would like to be able to bring you full self to the therapeutic space

  • you often feel like you “don’t belong” or that you have difficulty connecting with others who share your values, interests, or identities

  • you are an activist or community organizer seeking support as you pursue social change

what I offer:

Individual talk therapy focused on helping you heal from the past, create the relationships you want in your life, and find the most authentic version of yourself. You may be exploring your identity, coming home to yourself after a traumatic experience, or breaking patterns that no longer serve you. We will explore your values, history, relationships, and identity in ways that feel affirming and sustaining.

Available in 60- or 75-minute intervals; 75-minute appointments are intended for clients who wish to engage in EMDR or other trauma-focused treatment. All other individual adult clients should choose a 60-minute appointment.

Teen Therapy

this might be a good fit for your teen if:

  • they enjoy creative activities, such as arts and crafts or music

  • they identify as LGBTQIA+

  • they identify as neurodivergent (i.e., have a formal or informal diagnosis of ADHD or Autism/ASD)

  • you experience them as “defiant” (i.e., they sometimes seem to be resistant to your leadership as a parent, or are oriented towards independence and autonomy)

what I offer:

A space for your teen to feel seen and heard, where they learn to talk more openly about their feelings and experiences and in turn have greater resilience and zest for life. Parents are included in the therapy as appropriate to support your child while maintaining their privacy and confidentiality. Trans, nonbinary, gender-questioning, and creative teens welcomed in this office!

These sessions are offered in 45-minute intervals. Therapy for teens, especially those younger than 15, is recommended to be in-person, except for in specific circumstances where your teen feels most comfortable being themselves in a virtual environment.

Relationship Therapy

this might be a good fit for you if:

  • you are facing a decision or life transition that may affect your partnership, and you would like to navigate this change with some outside guidance

  • you are exploring opening your relationship or would like to navigate something that has come up in your already non-monogamous relationship

  • you are exploring BDSM and kink, including D/s (Dominant/submissive) relationship dynamics

  • you are able to attend in-person sessions in Baltimore

what I offer:

Relationship therapy for couples, triads, polycules, and other relationship structures to develop positive communication and relationship norms, find common ground, and increase intimacy and connection. This may include addressing sexual concerns, creating relationship agreements, and engaging in experiential and educational activities. Kink-affirming and informed, polyamory/non-monogamy informed and friendly.

Relationship therapy appointments are available in 60 or 75-minute intervals. For those requesting 60-minute sessions, the initial intake appointment may still be up to 90 minutes to allow time for information gathering. Relationships with more than two people should schedule 75-minute sessions.

Family Therapy

this might be a good fit for you if:

  • you or your family members identify as LGBTQIA+

  • you have a nontraditional family structure (such as blended families, separated parents, or families with mixed neurotypes)

  • you feel that there are positive connections of love and care in your family relationships, but that you lack certain knowledge or skills to appropriately communicate or engage with one another

  • you have a child who is gender non-conforming, trans, or gender-creative and you would like to learn more about how to support them

  • you are able to attend in-person sessions in Baltimore

what I offer:

Queer- and neurodiversity-affirming family therapy focused on improving communication, identifying sources of conflict, and offering pathways to even more loving relationships. This may include facilitating dialogue between family members, engaging in experiential activities to increase connection, and taking a big picture look at the dynamics that shape your family’s interactions.

Family therapy is available in 60-minute intervals. I will reach out to confirm the members of your family who you would like to include in the therapy sessions. Most family therapy should include all members of the family, including those you consider “not involved” in the conflict.
